Lakeside Bistro is a culinary destination featuring the cuisine of French Colonial Vietnam. Owner/Chef Michael Le presents exciting fare with personalized service, clever ambiance and a range of entertainment that attracts patrons, musical artists and aficionados worldwide.

 

Drawing from his own French and Vietnamese heritage, Chef Le has developed original style  steaks, seafood, soup, and salad dishes all prepared fresh to order. His wildly popular signature Garlic Filet Mignon Sizzling Hotplate, is a version of Colonial Vietnamese "Shake Shake Beef." Or, if you prefer, the same filet can be grilled to order and served with seasoned potatoes for more Continental tastes.

 

The Bistro's bay-window Kiosque à Musique features the best of live music artists on Friday and Saturday evenings, specially suited to enhance your dining experience.

Owner/Chef Michael Le's heritage is French and Vietnamese; his father was a Viet diplomat, Mom was a French university professor. Chef Le developed his cooking technique based on the two cultures he knew as a child. The resulting cuisine is delightful and is at last attracting the broad audience it deserves . . .

The diverse and timeless flavors found in this unique combination can also be attributed to the heritage of other nations that once occupied Vietnam, and to the influences of its neighbors. The Chinese left their art of stir-frying using the famous wok; the French brought their passion for carefully seasoned broth, vibrant sauces and crème caramel. The exotic lemongrass, ginger and other delectable touches were adopted from the Thai, Cambodian and Lao kitchens.

The genius of Chef Le's cooking technique lies in the innovative adaptation of all these foreign inspirations together with a simple, yet sophisticated method to create a unique and subtle cuisine. 

With a strong reliance on only the freshest herbs and vegetables, varieties of rice and noodles, minimal use of oil, and abundant choices of meat and seafood, French-Vietnamese cuisine is among the healthiest and most delicious on earth!
